When I took my FA Level 2 course, my final topic was Organised Defending.
When I attempted to coach this to my teams I realised how effective it is in teaching players the art of defending.
This drill has the same setup as the penetrating passing drill.
The key coaching tip for this is communication!!

I have been (and still am) very keen in getting children in football thinking for themselves.
Being creative on the football pitch seems to me to be a fundamental aspect of a good player.
I have seen so many times coaches that simply tell the kids what to do. The children do not have to apply their brains to it just get on with the task – Cringe worthy!
